I'm currently eating dinner out of a plastic bag. It was a dehydrated food pack made by Backpacker's Pantry, and it's surprisingly good. While it won't be making home cooking or fancy restaurants obsolete anytime soon, it's actually better than what you might find at a cafeteria, and certainly better than MREs.

Literally. There was a chemical spill in my neighborhood today, and you can smell the fumes from blocks away. I had been planning on working a little late to take care of one last recalcitrant machine, but Bogdan, a friend of mine from work, insisted on driving me home so I wouldn't be walking home through the fumes.
