How the Iron Chef Got Her Knife

Although hardly suitable for 'cultured' venues, this song has become popular among farm children. Supposedly, it has origins in a true story, but nobody believes it. It is credited to the elven bard Loopi Jaroo of the Crimson Spire region.

How The Iron Chef Got Her Knife

Where rabbits hide in foliage deep
She sees them near the spices
Where fang and claw in defense leap
Her steel slices and dices

All around the land
They end up in her pan
Behold, the Iron Chef!

When poultry from the depths of hell
Chose her fellows for a meal
The Iron Chef prepared a spell
And unleashed her summoned steel

When told to run she showed disdain
And looked aside to scoff
"Run from food? Here I reign!
Their heads I will chop off!

For all around the land
They end up in my pan
For I am the Iron Chef!"

The chickens did unleash their ire
And lightning they did call
But the Chef has better mastered fire
So quickly they did fall.

Their fallen she did quickly pluck
And the others, they did scatter
They could only curse their luck
As the Chef whipped up some batter.

"No matter what you plan,
You'll end up in my pan!"
Chortled the Iron Chef.

Terrified they looked about
For a means to avoid their fate
In tribute they did then dig out
A knife silver and straight

The edge was true, the metal keen
To behold, it was a wonder
"I accept your gift, the slate is clean
But begone now!" she did thunder.

For knife now in her hand
She looked towards her pan
She was still... the Iron Chef!
