As part of the release of Zork Nemesis Activision released Zork I for free on their website. Coinciding with the release of Zork Grand Inquisitor, the first of a new series of Zork adventures, Activision released Zork II and Zork III as well as a new Zork text adventure called Zork: The Undiscovered Underground by Marc Blank and Mike Berlyn.

To save searching Activision's somewhat confusing site I thought I'd make these available here at the Infocom site. The games are available in the Windows 95 format in which Activision released them as well as in a ZIP format (since I've received many complaints from people who either don't run Windows 95 or are having trouble installing it under Windows 95). To make the Windows 95 version work you have to choose "Run" from the Start Menu and then select the .exe to install. If you're getting messages about "This program requires Windows to run" then you're doing it wrong. The ZIP versions contain the exact same files and are about half the size! Both versions actually contain a DOS interpreter.

I only have Zork I for Mac. If some kind Mac user wants to download the ZIP files, replace the interpreter with one for Mac, and then repackage I'll be happy to include them with the others (that goes for any other OSes as well).
