&lt;p&gt;I&#039;m reminded of one of the more entertaining investigations of the accounting department at LSU, which wanted to know why one of its professors was charging the university for a large number of condoms and shot glasses.  It turns out that this is significantly cheaper than trying to purchase glass and polyurethane from science catalogs for containing samples.&lt;/p&gt;
