When Conspiracy Theorists Discover Real Evidence

The problem with claims of assassinations, conspiracies, and coverups is that there have been a number of such claims over the ages, few of which have managed to come up with enough evidence to implicate someone for wrongdoing, and often lack such basic components as motive. One of the better examples of how a long list of "suspicious" deaths can be easily generated is the solid debunking of the deaths surrounding President Clinton. Similar attempts date back to the JFK assassination (and forward to the Bush administration), and while there is somewhat significant evidence that the commonly accepted version of how the actual JFK assassination itself played out is incorrect (and there's certainly no shortage of motive), nobody has come up with any evidence of wrongdoing against any individuals involved.

The problem with making "conspiracy theorist" synonymous with "crackpot" is that there is then no way to detect an actual conspiracy... and sometimes there is real evidence of wrongdoing. The latest in this is the documentation of the "apparent suicide" of Raymond Lemme, summarized nicely at Xymphora, though the research has mostly been done by The Brad Blog while following the story of Clint Curtis, a programmer that testified to authoring code to rig a national election at the request of Republican Florida Congressman Tom Feeney.

Leaving Clint Curtis and stolen elections aside for the moment (though I have touched on this general topic before), what is most notable about the Raymond Lemme "suicide" is that evidence has been released that not only was there significant motive (Lemme was investigating corruption going up quite some ways), but that the police investigating his death lied both about the existence of photographic evidence of the crime scene and what evidence there actually was at the crime scene. The crime scene photos were leaked, and show significant discrepancies with what went into the official police reports. As far as I know, this isn't being investigated. Whether or not anyone ever finds enough evidence to show whether or not Lemme was murdered, someone should be investigating why the police lied about the circumstances.

This is adding to the mounting evidence both of police lies and vote fraud. Others have started creating new lists of suspicious deaths of people investigating corruption in the Bush administration — only this time with the motives and connections clearly stated in each case, and the details of the deaths noted. If there are any solid refutations out, I haven't been able to find them.

Although photographic evidence is subject to claims of tampering, it is still more reliable than testimony in many cases, and can sometimes be difficult to destroy. It can only be hoped that as the internet continues to help the public propagation of evidence that officials will eventually be forced to perform proper investigations and root out the corruption that has set in so strongly in the US government.
