It was a pleasant vacation, though I'm missing Lynne already and I only just left. I want to write about it, but it's too late to start writing tonight, so here are just some reminders to myself that might become links later:
Getting to know Pixel again (and yoghurt)
Oceans and sensuality
Eating out in Mexico (aka "Unseasoned Steak vs Tortured Chihuahuas", and notes on homemade soup).
I also want to comment briefly on the flight back, before the memory fades. It was an unusual flight. I ended up seated next to a rather spiritual ex-lawyer named Courtney. We went through a variety of interesting conversations, and I surprised myself by offering to continue them over coffee at some point, something that I don't think I've ever done to someone guilty of nothing more than sharing a row with me on an airplane.
She reminds me somewhat of my mother. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad omen for any upcoming conversations, if she chooses to take me up on the offer.

268 photos
I just counted the number of raw images on the CF card. I took 268 photos over four days.
I would have been absolutely terrified to try that in the days of film. Aside from having to carry an entire bag full of film, the development and printing costs would have been immense. This camera may pay for itself within a year or two.
Regarding the soup
It mellowed out nicely over the next week... it was quite tasty about a week after it was made. Though it was still a touch pungent.
