Ensenada Vulture 1

Ensenada Vulture 1

From the ground, this bird was just a silhouette circling overhead. I originally thought it was a hawk, but Lynne pointed out that it looked much more like a turkey vulture, once I had enhanced the image. Of a dozen or so shots, only two were tolerable, and none were good, but I'm actually reasonably happy with what I actually managed to get, considering that I was shooting from a lightweight and soft telephoto zoom lens by hand. Still, I have a vague yearning to know what I could have done with a 500mm prime.

One of these years when I am hideously wealthy, perhaps.
